Tempel Group is proud to announce its participation in the 14th Telefónica Global Energy and Climate Change Workshop, to be held this year in São Paulo, Brazil.
This annual event brings together leaders in energy transformation at Telefónica and leading partners in the field.
The main purpose of this event is to take advantage of the opportunities presented in the field of energy and climate change, driving innovation to reduce Telefónica's energy consumption and carbon footprint globally. During this Workshop, the latest initiatives in energy efficiency and renewable energy are presented and shared. In addition, it becomes the ideal forum to analyze and set new challenges, as it brings together key areas of the company, such as network infrastructure, finance, procurement and sustainability.
The event attracts more than 250 participants from all the countries where Telefónica is present. After 14 years of successful editions, we can affirm that Telefónica's Global Energy and Climate Change Workshop has established itself as a fundamental event to promote a low-carbon economy in the company.

Tempel Group has been a prominent participant in Telefónica Workshops for several years. In 2019, the team led by Josep Antoni Sánchez, CTO of Tempel Group, won the Technology Innovation Award in the X edition thanks to a project for Telefónica Chile. This project focused on the creation of a structure that houses 48 V lithium battery modules, designed to be easily transportable and equipped with junction boxes and electrical protections. Last year, Óscar Landínez of Tempel Group Colombia, presented a paper on the migration and replacement of VRLA lead-acid battery banks with LFP lithium battery bank technology.
